Ultima Rail comes pre-packaged in 36” x6’ and 36”x8’ railing kits (containing: top rail, bottom rail, spindles and all hardware necessary for installation. Post sleeves, post caps and post skirts are sold separately). Every completed rail kit spans a true 72” or 96” inches, taking the guess work out of ordering. Installation instructions are easy to follow and hassle free and you won’t need any special tools either!

How do I determine how much Ultima railing for my project? Ultima Rail is available in 6’ and 8’ sections – By measuring the length between both posts to determine which rail size will work for each section (you’ll need to map out your deck’s perimeter to determine which size works for each of your sections), you will be able to determine how many rail kits, post sleeves, post caps and skirts you need. A good rule of thumb for any deck project is to add 10% to your final measurements for waste. Additionally, your local Ultima dealer will be happy to assist you.

I have two 4’ sections on either side of my entrance, how would I handle that? You would take (1) 8’ rail kit and cut it down to (2) 4’ sections. You will need to purchase a level hardware kit for the extra section. You’ll be able to answer this question and many more in the Ultima Rail Installation Guide
What about a stair kit? Ultima rail is sold in both level kits and stair kits.

I have kids and I am worried they could get their heads stick between the rail spindles. Every Ultima rail kit is pre drilled and pre- spaced to ensure a 4” sphere (like a child’s head) cannot pass between the spindles.
